WELCOME TO KABALE INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

KICS is an international day school in Kabale Municipality, Kabale District, South Western Uganda. We use the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum, a mastery-based curriculum used in many countries throughout the world, with strong biblical values at its core.
Our emphasis is to produce strong and principled students who are not only academically gifted but holistically moulded and shaped to be productive members of society. We enrol students in preschool, kindergarten, primary and students beginning secondary.
KICS is licensed through Uganda’s Ministry of Education and Sports, and registered internationally with AEE (Accelerated Education Enterprises), South Africa, and ICCE (International Certificate of Christian Education), United Kingdom.
HOW OUR STORY BEGAN
From a family’s table
to a school family.
KICS began with Ben and Esther Ward homeschooling their own children using the ACE curriculum.
Numerous people approached them looking for an alternative educational approach. After prayer and God’s guidance, KICS was founded.

Meet the hearts behind KICS.
DIRECTOR
Benjamin Ward
Originally from the United Kingdom, Benjamin worked as a land surveyor after finishing secondary school. Hearing the call of God, he moved to Uganda in 2005.
With over 20 years of varied Christian ministry and leadership experience in Uganda and Australia, he founded KICS and is the school’s Director and owner. He holds a Diploma in Church Leadership from iSEE College/Alphacrucis University in Australia.
PRINCIPAL
Esther Ward
Originally from Australia, Esther graduated with a Bachelor of Education from Christian Heritage College. After teaching for several years, she felt God’s call to teach overseas.
A mission trip to Uganda in 2005 inspired her passion for Africa. She went on to teach at a leading international school in Kampala. After moving to Kabale and homeschooling her own children, Esther and her husband Ben started KICS.
